Transaction Security & Personal Data

1. The COMPANY recognizes the importance of the security of Personal Data, as well as electronic transactions, and has taken all the necessary measures, with the most modern and advanced methods, to ensure the maximum possible security. All information related to users' personal information is kept confidential.

2. We use the SSL(Secure Sockets Layer) protocol with 128-bit encryption (the strongest today), for secure online trading. This encrypts all of your personal information, including your credit card number, name and address, so that it cannot be read or changed while being transfered over the Internet. With this technology, every piece of information you enter on our site is coded before it goes online and then the authenticity of the message and the server is investigated.

3. The SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol is today the global standard on the Internet for certifying websites to web users and for encrypting data between web users and web servers. An encrypted SSL communication requires that all information sent between a client and a server to be encrypted by the sending software and decrypted by the receiving software, thus protecting personal information in transit. In addition, all information sent with the SSL protocol is protected by a mechanism that automatically checks if the data has been changed in transit. SSLs come in 40-bit and 128-bit scales. The larger the scale, the more difficult it is to crack the encoded message. We use 128-bit SSL, which is a trillion times stronger than 40-bit counterparts.

The details of the users (name, occupation, e-mail address, residential address, etc.) and the transactions of the users in the online store are considered confidential, as are the usual transactions in a commercial store. The users, when providing their details in the context of their transactions, as with this one, will be informed by the company and consent and accept the imminent processing of these personal data, for the needs of the smooth transaction between the parties, as well as the transmission of these data to recipients who will be specifically identified and are the company's employees. Also, the existence of the right of access and the right of opposition of article 12 and 13 of Law 2472/1997 is hereby notified.

It is ensured that only authorized employees have access to transaction information and only when necessary, e.g. to process orders. For the rest, the Katsifas department store undertakes not to disclose the details of customers and their transactions, unless it has a written authorization from them, or this is required by a court decision or a decision of another public authority. The personal data declared in the online store with the Katsifas brand are used exclusively by it or companies collaborating with it, for the purpose of supporting, promoting and executing the business relationship. All the documents and electronic data that will be exchanged between the parties in the context of the sale will be kept by the Katsifas department store. The customer can access them if they wish.
